CASE I:
Agribusiness, especially farms are very unique than other businesses. Most of the times, in a typical family farm, only family members are working in the farm. One of the common findings is that some family members feel over worked and/or undervalued. They start considering one or other family member as being free rider. Over time resentment builds up and there are conflicts both at work and family.
Say you are a family member - what do you think should be done to resolve this type of conflict?
CASE II:
In a business setting often times personality clashes. This results in interpersonal conflicts. Subordinates start feeling bullied or not being guided as managers should. They start feeling that alpha managers set unachievable goals just to fail their subordinates.
Say you are a manager in this case, what would you do to resolve this type of conflict?
CASE III:
Many agribusiness jobs, especially sales job (sales rep) customer service jobs, require regular and constant interaction with customers. Sometimes, the customer feels s/he was cheated and/or undervalued and/or not given personal attention. Say you are either in that position (sales rep) or the manager of the sales rep; what steps would you take to resolve/solve this type of conflict?
CASE IV:
Agri-Business management degree is teaching students skills necessary to become a manager. Say, you complete a degree and become a manager in a big company. Part of managers job is to do performance review of your subordinates. And, as you all know no employee likes to receive a negative performance review, but giving negative feedback in a review can be unavoidable based on the employee's own actions during the review period. Say, you give negative review and the subordinate starts gossiping bad things about you in the workplace, starts to work even less, and just has a really low morale.
