Assignment:

Currently in my role I am implementing the Stay Interview process. Because I've found through my research that within the first 60 days, employees decide if they are going to stay at an organization or leave. Utilizing the stay interviews will help me and our leaders to determine why their employees stay and how to work with those who are possibly getting ready to leave. I've always done exit interviews with employees that are willing. These are effective, however, I've found that they don't benefit our organization as much as when I hear that someone is leaving, we approach them to talk about staying. This gives me more immediate feedback and also allows us time to visit with the employee about why they are thinking about transitioning away from our organization.

Please research the stay interview process and share with me what you see as the benefits as a leader in your own organization (in an executive director's role). Discuss how you would get the buy-in of your team to switch to this method.
