Computers are not a modern invention. They began in the early nineteenth century. Computers were invented because of the human search for accurate and fast computing devices. The invention of the computer was incremental, with dozens of scientists and mathematicians building. It was not until 1968 that the first modern computer appeared. There are five generations of computers, classified into different groups according to their date of manufacture: First Generation (1942-1955). Second Generation (1955-1964). Third Generation (1964-1975). Fourth Generation (1975-1989) and, Fifth Generation (1989-Present).

After researching and looking for sources that would provide me with exact information on the evolution of computers, I found this one. This source will help me a lot in my final essay since it has complete and very accurate information about the history and evolution of computers, it specifies each generation of computers, and the information is very well organized.
