MDP Abstract:

With the rise in waste around the world and the slowly increasing awareness of climate change. Islands like Singapore are predicted to be covered in water due to the rapid rise in temperature. Through thorough research about Singapore and their waste we discovered that the landfills are overflowing, more importantly with harmful waste. We have decided to take action and target the burger king franchise, within Singapore. Our solution is to partner with an eco friendly and compostable packaging company. The chosen company is BioPak and we aim to design a special business partnership to have specialized packaging with the BurgerKing logo. This packaging will not only serve for the greater good of the climate but also allow the awareness to spread to a niche group of people. We have effectively planned for the implementation into this taking into account the cost of applying packaging, stakeholders for Burger King, potential rise in price to their products, as well as the long term and short term effect to the environment.
