Research Proposal Format -

1. Title

2. Abstract - Five elements include:

• Significance
• Limitation of current techniques
• A summary of your solutions
• A bit detail
• Outcomes (how others will be benefited)

3. Literature Review

• It should consist of three paragraphs.
• The literature should be critically discussed with the disadvantages of existing technologies highlighted using terms such as 'however'.
• The literature review should target the research questions, explained in the next section.

4. Research Questions

• It should consist of three research questions.
• Questions should include the proposed solutions, and should be provided in the following format: Can xxxx (the solution) address/improve/increase ...... yyyyy (the problem)?
• Questions should be clear.

5. Significance (Rational)

• It should justify the need for this research topic.
• It should include some statistical data or numbers to be convincing for an investor.

6. Connection to the current body of knowledge

• It should include three paragraphs, each dedicated to one research question.
• Each paragraph should start with 4-5 lines of literature review, describing the method/model that students are using as the base. This should be followed by 3-4 lines of 'I aim to' section, summarizing the solution proposed by the student.
