Cathy has epilepsy and is taking medication for it. She also has insomnia many nights. She went to a spa and was impressed with an aromatherapy treatment she was given in conjunction with her massage. The aromatherapy scent made her remember smells associated with pleasant childhood memories, and now Cathy is very interested in obtaining her own EOs for home use. She found an online source and bought several, one of which was lavender, thought to be good for insomnia because of its sedative effect. That night, Cathy placed some drops of lavender EO in a diffuser, took her epilepsy medication, and went to bed.
