In United States, some scientists, sociologists, and politicians suggest that access to environmental quality is not evenly distributed across socioeconomic classes. In 2005, when Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans area, this concept became center of many conversations. Take some time and research issues surrounding poor environmental conditions during Hurricane Katrina and days to follow. Research concept of unequal access to environmental quality. Make decision if you think that influence of hurricane was felt equally through all socioeconomic classes. Explain why or why not? If you ran disaster program, what would you have done differently?
