The purpose of this project is ultimately to connect the history of the Ethnic Studies to contemporary activism by researching a significant leader in our communities who was/is influential in scholarship, creativity, and/or social change. You will connect the life and work of this person with social justice movements and at least one (1) of the 4 pillars of Ethnic Studies (self-determination, solidarity, relevant education, and community service).

Answer the following questions:
