Research Change Management principles. Identify how these may apply to a healthcare organization making an information system change. Select a type of Information System change (entire EHR vs. specific software for release of information, coding, documentation completion, birth certificate completion, cancer registry, trauma registry, etc.). Create a Powerpoint presentation on how you (as an HIM professional) would lead applicable HIM staff, impacted providers, and others involved in the process through your chosen system change. Think about potential problems that can occur during/after system implementation and how to prevent/mitigate them. Include at least two slides that justify or defend how you will lead the chosen system change.
