1) Research any one species, and describe its ecological niche. For one factor of the niche, describe what you think might happen to an individual of the species if it is forced to exist just a little outside of its optimum range mention how your think this might affect the species.

2) Name or describe an ecotone you have visited . If you can't remember one very well, go to one before working on this question. Was the ecotone a mixture of the ecosystems on either side, or was it unique compared to those ecosystems? Were there certain organisms found only in the ecotone? Were some organisms only found outside of the ecotone?
