Research and apply evidence to practice
Assessment - Literature Review
The student should research current evidence-based literature (at least 3) in relation to the recommended or best practice in nursing.
The literature review should address the following:
Importance or relevance of the topic and focus of literature search
Description of how you planned and gathered the information (search strategy)
Description of analysis of the information gathered (literature review)
Description of how this information can assist or be implemented to improve practice
Description of proposed or recommended further actions based on literature search findings
It is recommended that the student further refines or narrows their search to a particular or specific issue within the context of the broader topic.
Word limit of report 500 to 800 words.

Establish a need for research that could improve healthcare practice
What are the current trends or best practice related to the chosen topic?
Identify the issue within the selected topic.
Establish objectives of the research - why would you conduct this research?
Identification of appropriate articles

Literature search strategy, database used.
Provide the search term that you used to find the literature sources (ex: Boolean search)
Gather information from credible sources (published in the last 5 years) relevant to topic and nursing
