Choose a high court/constitutional court in a country (other than Canada)

Choose an issue area that has become judicialized OR an issue are that one would have expected the courts to issue influential rulings but for some reason the high court has refrained from weighing in on this issue. The issue area you are focusing on should be specific, e.g. women's rights, freedom of speech, workers' rights etc...

Instead of just choosing an interesting topic that you may have heard is happening in your country, make sure your topic satisfies these conditions:

Make sure the court addressed this issue. LGBTQ rights protection might be very strong in your country, but if it is not something the court has addressed or heard, then you would not want it to be the focus of your paper.
Make sure your issue and country match is NOT one that we covered in class already (e.g. civil rights and the U.S. Supreme Court).
Find an issue area that is interesting/puzzling. For example, do not focus on an obvious case, like women's rights in Saudi Arabia and argue that the high court is not taking on these cases because it is an authoritarian state.
