Validate Legal Procedures on Digital Data Collection

As with all forms of evidence collection, there is always the possibility of a Fourth Amendment violation resulting in the inadmissibility of evidence that was collected.

For this assignment, research a court case where Fourth Amendment violations were present while collecting digital evidence as the primary form of evidence of the case.

You may use the type of digital evidence that was the focus of your presentation in the previous assignment.

Be sure to cite the facts of the case, along with the Fourth Amendment constitutional violations that occurred. Prepare your assignment in the form of a brief handout that your audience members can take with them to refer to later.

Support your assignment with at least three scholarly resources. In addition to these specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources, including seminal articles, may be included.
