SCENARIO Based on the previous scenario, you have conducted interviews for the three candidates and are required to hire two of them. They're going to work in sales, have 5 years experience and excellent customer service.

Part A - Assess and select candidates 

1. required to update the sales manager and HR manager about the screening and interview process. Writ3 an email providing a summary of what happened in the interview process and seek more information on assessing the candidates and the selection process.

2. Based on your email, you have received an email from the HR manager.

Hi, Well done, with the interview process. Based on your previous email, I would suggest that you stick to the selection criteria and referee reports (attached under the assessment documentation section on myAPC.hub) for assessing the candidates and selecting them. Let me know if you have any further questions; feel free to contact me. Send me a recommendation report based on your assessment, explaining why you have shortlisted the 2 candidates.

a. Based on the email response provided by the HR Manager, develop a recommendations report for the HR and sales manager. In your recommendations, you should include which two candidates should be selected and why

Part B - Selection decisions 

In this part, you will be requir3d to communicate with each of the three candidates about the selection decision. 

1. How will you obtain referee reports? 

2. Writ3 an email to the candidate who was unsuccessful thanking them for their interest in the position and advising them that they will be kept informed about future opportunities. Also provid3 feedback on why they were not selected. 

3. Write emails to the selected candidates asking them to sign the employment contract. You are also required to ask them to provide the following: 

a. copies of all the certificates and qualifications that they have mentioned in the recruitment process 

b. TFN details 

c. Superannuation details 

d. Any other documents as per the requirements of organisational policy or procedure e. Inform them about their start dates, working hours, location and other details that they will require to know. 

4. Considering that the two candidates have accepted your offer, write an email to the HR manager and the sales manager advising them about the new appointments including the start dates.
