Introduction: Database is meaningless without an action being performed on it; a database system provides current and historical data that are key components of a BI solution. For example, a data warehouse is a repository of an organization's electronically stored data and is designed to facilitate reporting and analysis. In a simplified term, data warehousing focuses on data storage for retrieving and analyzing data, to assist in extracting, transforming and loading data, and to manage dictionary data.
