After requesting police protection and being refused, the Zebra Motors Car Manufacturers promised to pay for special police protection during a strike of their workers who were represented by the Auto Union of Zelda. The reason for this request was because Zebra believed that there were serious threats and a possibility of risk to life and limb as neither parties to this disagreement was backing down. The protection provided to Zebra Motors Car Manufacturers was more than the police thought necessary, the police superintendent thought that a mobile force was adequate and had refused to post officers at the factory unless the manager paid for these additional services. Zebra Motors refused to pay and the police sued. Zebra Motors argued that there was no consideration because the provision of protection was a public duty of the police. The matter is now before the Courts. What is the likely result of this dispute between the parties?
