Select a product line from a well-known company, such as Tide, manufactured and marketed by Procter and Gamble.  Tide and Tide products have evolved over the last several decades adapting to changing markets and consumer needs. Some products are brand-new and emerging; others are past their prime and disappearing from the market.

Choose four products (not Tide) to represent their place in the product life cycle. (For review, The Product Life Cycle is covered on pages 144-145.) Explain why it is necessary for all companies to have an awareness of where their products are in the life cycle and how innovation keeps a company relevant and vibrant. Document the website where you have gathered your information. A good place to get ideas is in a big grocery store to observe the variety as well as the "new and improved" versions of familiar products.  Attach your work on a Word document by the due date.
