Because salespeople's activities in the field cannot be closely monitored, their employers trust them to act in the company's best interest. Some issues that can arise in the salesperson-company relationship include expense accounts, reporting work time information and activities, and switching jobs.

You work as a salesperson for a large company and are responsible for customer accounts. Another employer has offered you a job with a significant pay increase, but you must bring at least half of your existing customers over to their business. Assume there are not any contracts that would make switching jobs illegal.

In 250 - 300 words, explain if you believe this is unethical? How would you proceed in this situation? Why?
