Question

It's Wednesday the 27th of August, 2017 at 08:30 and you go into Thea's room, no.43, to assist her with her morning shower and getting dressed before breakfast. Thea seems quieter and more withdrawn this morning when you go to help her into the bathroom. She doesn't talk much at all and it takes some time to get her out of her pyjamas. Once you have undressed Thea you notice that there seems to be some bruising around one of her breasts and possibly near her genitals as well. As you are washing her, she seems tense and when you wash near her breasts or genitals she closes her eyes and faces her head away from you. If an employee has suspicion of any of the above-mentioned forms of abuse or becomes aware of an allegation of abuse they should report it immediately to the most senior member of staff on duty. Supervisors:

• Andrea Dodovich Monday - Thursday when reporting suspected or actual abuse to their supervisor:

• The client's name and room number.

• Their own name (as a witness).

• The name's of any other witnesses present.

• Signs of abuse including sexual, physical, emotional or financial.
