Every day in our normal lives we spend money - on small purchases such as food and beverages, transport and other items, and on occasions we spend larger amounts - say on a laptop or a car.

Your task is to write a 500 word report on your recent experience that you have had where a sales person has "sold" you something. It may be that you may have deliberately sought that product, or that they convinced you was appropriate for you to buy. That may have been any product or service such as a particular new mobile phone or a further extension of some service that you were already having - like getting a pedicure when having your fingernails done, or putting two new tyres on your car at a regular oil change service.

You are to focus on three (3) things for the example - how did they create the need and want that changed your decision; how were you treated in terms of being a "special" customer; and how did you feel afterwards once you had paid and left with your new item or service completed.

Additional Requirement

The question lies to Marketing and describe about sharing a sales experience where you were sold something by a sales person. An example of buying Campbell Soup has been given in the solution. In this example, a sales person approached the buyer and instead of directly trying to sell the product, the sales person focussed her attention on understanding the demographic, needs and choice of the customer and then offered the product.
