Intelligence Analysis, Policy & Practice Assignment -
It's 2017 and you are the branch chief of the Western Europe Terrorism Threat Branch at Joint Analysis Center Molesworth-the joint intelligence center for European Command. Your branch is responsible to developing indications and warning intelligence products regarding the activities of international terror groups present in France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, Netherlands, Belgium and the UK.
Over the past few weeks, your branch has received various reports on suspected terror activity in southern France (See Assignment Reading found in the Assignment attached folder for these reports). Your department head wishes you and your branch analysts to try out analyzing this stream of reporting using the threat assessment methodology (also found in the Assignment folder) that is part of the larger risk assessment process. She is wondering if the threat component has any potential use as an indication and warning analytical tool.
TASK: You will need to provide your department head, a real "hardcore Army intelligence officer-probably a West Point graduate..." with a written report breaking down the threat subcomponent scores and the final threat score your team developed. Be sure to show in your work how you developed your scores.
