This is your opportunity to delve into, reflect on, and report on a topic of interest within OB. You will need to conduct research (research of the literature), and prepare a written presentation (paper). View this assignment as an opportunity to discover, analyze and reflect on something that interests you (within OB of course!). If you choose a topic you care about, it will show.
1. Choose an OB topic, which interests you. It may be:

» A specific topic, such as: Ethics in the Workplace, Personality, Emotional Intelligence, Organizational Learning, Motivation, etc. Take a look at your Text to see which topics are of interest and ones you would like to explore further. Your paper must explore the topic further than the textbook
» A business organization - looking at the subject within an OB topic. Examples could include West Jet, WalMart or another company and their strategies or practices within an organizational behavior perspective.
2. Search for resources in regard to your topic.

» You will need at least three academic sources other than the textbook. Possible sources include business journals, management books, the Internet (relevant & reliable sites only), and/or other sources of information that are acceptable. If you cannot find adequate sources of information, you may need to change your topic. If your topic bores you at this point, please do yourself and us all a favor, and start over at step #1. Regarding the literature source and when in doubt, check with the library personnel as they are more than willing to help you.
2. Complete the Research Paper Milestone 1.

» Submit this to your instructor prior to the project due date. This will ensure your topic, thesis statement and research sources are appropriate on the due date (for grading).
