ICD-10-CM and Cpt Code for OPERATIVE REPORT FACILITY Preoperative Diagnosis: End-of-life pacemaker battery Postoperative Diagnosis: End-of-life pacemaker battery Procedure(s): Replace pacemaker battery Patient with diagnosis of dysrhythmia presents for replacement of pacemaker battery as the pulse generator has reached end-of-life. An incision is made over the pacemaker pocket and the pocket entered. The pulse generator is disconnected from the dual leads, and a new rate-responsive pulse generator placed. The existing leads are tested, and, determined to be satisfactory, and reconnected. The pocket is closed and the patient is taken to the PACU in satisfactory condition.
