The Social Contract Theory is a moral and political philosophy that essentially provides that in choosing their leaders the people are giving their consent to surrender some of their freedoms and submit to the authority of their rulers in exchange for the protection of their remaining rights and maintenance of the social order.
Thus, from the Social Contract Theory's point of view, when people elect their leaders, they are entering into a "contract" with them. Basically, it is a reciprocal and bilateral contract where both the people and leaders are obligated to each other. Meaning to say, people are willing to be governed, ruled, and controlled in their rights, actions, and behaviors by the leaders they have chosen. In return, the people expect their leaders to make their life good if not better than before their leaders assumed office.
Leni, BBM, Manny, Isko, Ping and Leody are asking you to enter into a "contract" with them.
