Once you make your initial post, return sometime later, and make a minimum of three responses (this can be with one or more of your peers). In your responses, do not repeat any ideas from your initial post, instead seek to create new understandings.
Hint 1: You are seeking to create a collaborative dialogue - to deepen understanding of each other and so you need to go beyond ‘agreement'. If all you do is ‘agree' you are bringing a conversation to a close.
Hint 2: A brief one line response is superficial and may also be received by your peer as being dismissive / disrespectful - rather than engaging with them in conversation.
Hint 3: Respond with vulnerability by sharing aspects of your own experience (second person) and sense making (first person).
Remember dialogue is very different to discussion and is more reliant on reflection over analysis. You are not trying to prove a point or make truth claims.
Use APA 7 referencing as required.
FOLLOW THE GUIDELINES
Now Read your Peer's thoughts on week 9. See what is that point that you find really interesting in their thoughts/posts.
Start like this- I found your ideas on ------ really interguing/interesting/engaging-
What is that you want to explore more about, Add your point -
Then this- (I also wonder/ I would like to add that (..author ... ) SHOW CURIOSITY ? The ---- author also says this,,,,,,,,,,
What we are going to add must make meaning of learning together.
Ask further open-ended questions, what more do you want to hear from the peer inorder to achieve a meaningful learning together?
You must engage with peer learning to deepen understanding of each other and so you need to go beyond ‘agreement'. If all you do is ‘agree' you are bringing a conversation to a close.
REMEMBER: Do not Affrim, Agree, Evaluate (you are right or wrong) and do not challenge your peer on their post. It's disrespectful and will grade you fail in these weekly assignments.
