Scenario: Jim is the project manager of a software development team made up mostly of software developers based in India. Jim is based in Ohio, USA, and the team conducts all its work and communication online (virtually). Aruna, the Indian team lead, is in her mid-20s and knows the software inside out. Jim is many years her senior and has over 20+ years of experience in software development. While reviewing his work from the previous week, Jim discovers that he made a mistake in the programming code. He notices that Aruna corrected his error, but wonders why Aruna did not bring it to his attention so that he could avoid delays and keep from making the same mistake in the future.

Describe why the confusion has occurred, and explain the cultural differences at play in this scenario, using the relevant dimensions of Hofstede's model.
