IdealFuniture Limited Company is a growing indigenous Zambian company which manufactures high quality furniture for both office and home decor. Domestically IdealFuniture is a market leader supplying 83% of all the high-quality furniture in the industry. Mr Mumba Kalulu the current Chairman of the Board for IdealFuniture Limited Company is contemplating growth in other markets starting with other Southern African Countries before expanding to the whole of Africa and beyond. Mr. Mumba has approached his long-time business mentor Mr. Chibamba Kayama to seek advice on the prospects of turning IdealFuniture into an international company. Mr. Kayama explains that,

"The impact of the national environment on the competitiveness of individual companies is largely determined by the Competitive Advantage of Nations (Porter's Diamond Framework). A company must understand if it has a country specific or a company specific advantage. If the advantage is country specific, then foreign markets can be exploited by exporting. If the advantage is company specific, it can invest in the country concerned provided that these advantages can be transferred from one country to another (management skills, production techniques). For us to have a decent conversation I'd like you to conduct IdealFuniture business competitiveness using Porter's Diamond Framework. Once done, come back for our usual analytics."
