I like how you mentioned that many social problems stem from unequal power relationships. I could not agree with this more. Power is not possessed by one individual; rather, it is a product of the relationships between individuals and social groups. These power dynamics are usually quite obvious under most circumstances. The use of power has the ability to influence societal norms, public discourse, and decision-making. As a result, this may favor and privilege some groups over others, causing inequity and disadvantage that may have an impact on life experiences. What groups of people would you say have more power than others and create social problem along with them?
