Today is a big day for Alison, a law student who is graduating in just a few months. She recently interviewed with a major law firm and was told after her interview that if the firm is interested in hiring her they will call her back on her cell phone sometime today for a second interview with a panel of senior attorneys. After breakfast Alison goes for a walk outside to settle her nerves. She knows a lot is riding on whether she gets a call today because this is her only potential job prospect. After only a few steps outside, Alison drops her cell phone on the sidewalk; the phone's screen cracks and goes dark. Alison looks across the street and sees a store called "You Cracked It, We Repair It," which advertises itself as a business that fixes broken cell phones. Alison quickly enters the store and speaks to a store employee named James. Alison tells James that she is waiting for an important phone call and needs her cell phone repaired as soon as possible. James explains that he is not sure whether he can fix her cell phone today, but he will do the best he can. Alison leaves her phone with James and heads back home. A few minutes later, James's boss, the owner of "You Cracked It, We Repair It," enters the store and says, "Hi James, looks like you are working quickly today. Who is that repair for?" James responds, "We are fixing this phone for Alison, a law student who lives nearby. Her phone broke and she's waiting for an important phone call. I'm trying to get it fixed today." James's boss responds, "Good luck!"
