Read the following and answer the questions that follow.
In linguistics it is commonly assumed that sounds are said to have no inherent meaning. However, Kumagai (2019) found that [p] in Japanese is associated with cuteness.
This assumption of sound-meaning arbitrariness was examined in Kawahara (2021). He provided participants with fake names for Poke´mon that varied (in part) in the voicing specification (voiced or voiceless) of the plosive, fricative or affricate. Participants were asked whether the name would be better suited to a pre-evolution Poke´mon (typically smaller and weaker) or a post-evolution Poke´mon (typically larger and stronger).
Kawahara found that there was a relationship between the voicing and the evolution status. As the number of voiced plosives, fricatives, and affricates in a name increased, the name was more likely to be considered appropriate for post- evolution Poke´mon.

3-Did the evidence support her hypothesis?
4-What would have been counterevidence against his hypothesis?
