"An Exploration of the Relationship Between Probation Supervision and Desistance: A Systematic Narrative Review", on the influence of probation officer perceptions on the success or failure of a probationer's desistance from crime. There were two approaches identified in this article that probation officers take towards their probationers. What are these two approaches? Please explain the elements of each approach. How does each approach impact the success of a probationer's desistance from future criminality?
