The apparatus shown below measures the oxygen consumed by a small animal. As oxygen is consumed, the water droplet moves closer to the flask. Because carbon dioxide is absorbed by the potassium hydroxide solution on the filter paper, it does not affect the results.

-You are performing a lab in biology class to determine, quantitatively, if temperature affects the rate of oxygen consumption by a small animal. You will be testing the oxygen consumption of the animal at 0ºC, 15ºC, and 30ºC. Write prediction about the relationship between oxygen consumption and temperature.
