Learning Outcome 4: Comprehend the journey of an entrepreneur and analyse the local and global start-up networks (accelerators, incubators and many funding opportunities) that can help entrepreneurs to get started.

Learning Outcome 5: Understand the importance of pitching for funds and learn how to pitch ideas and discuss up-to-date topics relevant for entrepreneurs.

Learning Outcome 6: Compile a professional start-up guide, with measures and a summary of key entrepreneurial frameworks, as a suitable analytical framework to be applied to a business problem for analysis and potential solutions in real life scenarios.

Details of the task

Starting a SUCCESSFUL start-up requires an in-depth understanding of advantages and disadvantages of particular country, city or region for entrepreneurial activities.You are required to write a 1,500 word start-up guide for a chosenlocation (country, region,or city)and present the start-up business environment and ecosystem at a glance. The guide should be beneficial to entrepreneurs and investors seeking start-up opportunities. Please follow the structure below and include all the areas and topics.

Structure:

1. Introduction and welcome - explain the purpose of the start-up guide

2. Description of the business environment for start-up activities in a chosen locationwith selected focus e.g. number of new start-ups; success and/or failure rates; start-up activities by location or population (e.g. gender); innovation activities; cultural, political or societal barriers of starting a business, etc.

3. Analysis of support opportunities within the ecosystem of start-ups - e.g. government support, university or firm incubators, accelerators, business angels, venture capitalists, banks, crowdfunding initiatives, mentoring, coaching, etc.

4. Assessing theviability of creating a start-upin a chosen location - give an example of your own business idea and assessthe potential success and challenges of creating sucha start-up in relation to the analysis ofstart-up risks and opportunities in the chosen location

5. Conclusion - summary of main findings
