John Hansen is a 45 year old man who was at work. All of a sudden began to experience sudden severe back pain on his left side. After walking around for 30 minutes, with no relief from the pain, he decides to let his coworker drive him to the emergency room. Upon arrival Mr. Hansen stated his pain was a 10/10 and is unable to lie on the gurney. He is cold, clammy, diaphoretic and pale. Mr. Hansen denies ever having this type of pain in the past or having any significant medical history.
