The study talked about how career calling is the idea that one's beliefs can provide meaning and purpose in context to their job. The passion and satisfaction that anyone can experience in any career they are currently in serves as an extra amount of motivation towards work. Bettering yourself and your community and your commitment to your job helps to enhance job performance and reduce job turnover. They also explained that thriving at work is simply just having a healthy mindset at work that positively impacts every aspect that person comes in contact with. Thriving at work improves resilience within the workplace and being able to adapt they state leads to less burnout and nurses quitting. The study used only a questionnaire for the nurses involved, it did help to gauge how nurses were feeling within their job and how much their challenging work environment affects them.
