How can we relate inflation and string theory? We study some inflationary cosmological model or some string cosmological model under some specific assumptions or conditions.

Is there any relation or any dissimilarity between these two concepts? My knowledge of inflation is that it is a theory or concept to resolve some standard problems of early universe. I already got the answer about strings in more questions on this site. I actually want to know the relation among these two terms?
