One of the things you have learned about sound is the decibel, a unit to measure intensity. This is used to describe how loud a sound is. At many concerts, intensity level is very high and is considered part of the enjoyment by some. The rock music group, The Who, set the record for the loudest concert ever, and they regularly performed near that level. Today their lead guitarist, Pete Townshend, is nearly deaf.

Do you feel it is safe to reach these high decibel levels during rock concerts or do you feel there should be some regulation on allowable levels? If you feel that there should be some regulation, what should the limit be and why?
