Problem: The bioactivity of the thyroid gland is under the regulation by hypothalamus-pituitary gland-thyroid axis (HPT axis).

A. Describe the HPT axis. Include all the hormones involved in regulation of thyroid functionality.

b. In hypothyroidism, T3 and T4 (Thyroxine) hormones are not produced or are low levels. Considering the hypothalamine-pituitary-thyroid axis, what hormones should be released? Explain in terms of the negative feedback system.

c. Explain why abnormally high levels of Thuroid Stimulating Hormone may mean an individual has hypothyroidism.
