In the nursing profession, you are correct regarding changes or advancement in the nursing practice, I remember when technological advances where being implemented transitioning from paper to computer documentation and many of the "seasoned nurses" were retiring because they were technologically illiterate. Nursing is ever evolving and the nurses must and should evolve with to remain relevant. With your role of school nurse I wonder with the political climate regarding immunization, have you experienced any conflicts with parents regarding current immunization recommendations? There has always been disagreement regarding vaccines, but after Covid it seems that there was a definite split in peoples beliefs regarding immunization. I personally felt that too many people who were not knowledgeable of the medical profession had too much say, but there is even a split within the medical field also. I'm getting out of the woods, but I do agree that staying up to date with the latest information is good for the nurse as well as for patient care.
