Movie Reflection Paper
What you have to do:
Write a reflection paper on Eighteen with A Bullet, Maria Full of Grace, or City of God.
Use specific scenes or characters in the film as an example to discuss several criminological theories we discussed in class.
Make sure to use the textbook to define the theories and correctly cite it in your paper.
This should show that you have enough understanding of criminological theories so that you can apply them to various real-life situations you have observed in the film.
Some of the topics you might want to discuss in your paper include:
Did characters have any strain in their lives? How did they cope with their strain (e.g. Merton's strain theory or Agnew's general strain theory)?
How did characters learn how to commit crimes? From whom did they learn?
How did characters' social bond to legitimate institutions of society (e.g. school, family, etc.) or the lack thereof lead to their delinquency?
Any impact of subcultures (e.g. Miller's focal concerns, Wolfgang and Ferracuti's subculture of violence, etc.)?
How did characters' gender affect her reasons to commit a crime?
ASA or APA Citation format required.

Experience: - Science/Maths/Movement/Technology learning intention: What concepts can children potentially experience through your experience/environment:
Materials required: (List all the materials you need to include)
Space required: (describe the kind of space that you need eg. Outdoors, indoors, table, "wet space" (where you can wipe clean floor)
Any pack up requirements: (If you need pack up time, child or adult help, cleaning supplies)
Any safety requirements: (We don't have to remove all risk, but if you're using a risky material, what will you do to manage that risk. Hazardous, toxic or poisonous materials should not be used by children)
Possible Vocabulary to use: (these are the words or open ended questions that you can use in your conversation with children)
What do you need to do?(List as many steps as you need to describe what you need to do. Consider how to set up the space, to introduce any materials, to manage risks, where you need to be situated, what you need to do, any conversations you may need to have with children, how or when to pack up the space if necessary. Include enough detail that someone else would be able to read this and follow your instructions and intentions.)
