Activity 1 - Creativity Quiz
These activities are aimed at helping you reflect on your self-image in relation to creativity and to work consciously at revising your self-image, if necessary. The first step is to take a quiz on creative problem solving, available from Psychology Today at the link below. This is only one of many tests on different aspects of creativity, so think of it as one part of a rich tapestry. The test provides a basic report which is free-of-charge. It also provides the option to purchase a full report. It is up to you to decide whether you want the full report.
Record the main findings from the creative problem solving test here and in your online reflexive journal.
What are the implications for your self-image in relation to creativity?
Are there other aspects of your creativity that are not captured by the above test? Record them below and/or in your online reflexive journal. You may wish to search for quizzes or tests of those aspects of creativity.
Activity 2 - Reflecting on Your Most Creative Moments
Try to identify a time or period when you were at your most creative, when a new idea occurred to you, when you made a new connection between previously unrelated concepts or when you were able to solve a problem that had been bothering you for a while:
Where were you?
Were you doing anything else at the time? Was anyone else there?
What was your mood like at time?
Who did you tell first?
Has this experience been replicated on other occasions?
What are the implications for enhancing your creativity? How can you establish these conditions more often?
