Assignment - Career Learning Experiences:

Critical Self Reflection

Part A - Engagement in Career Learning Experiences

Task 1 - Provide evidence of your engagementin the three (3) learning experiences you committed to undertake in Assignment 1.

In the sections below, for each workshop and/or short course completed you need to:
1. Write the full name of the workshop or online short course (and for online short courses - MOOC/Forage include the URL)
2. Declare the number of hours engaged in for each learning experience
3. Highlight the employability skill developed for each experience
4. Indicate the type of evidence you are providing for your engagement (e.g., completion certificate, progress screenshot).

Part B-Critical Self Reflection

How to begin
It is often useful to have a systematic method for thinking through and reflecting on an experience for self-improvement or development purposes. A good way to do this is to use a framework that prompts deep and critical thought about what happened.
One method which offers five steps, or progressive stages is the:

Note: Good reflective writing flows - it does not require you to separate the five stages of reflection under discrete headings.

NOTE: Theexamplebelow only shows reflection on ONE skill (communication). Your reflection will need to show all THREE skills and provide one example drawn from each of the three learning experiences and in more detail in relation to how the skills relate to each other and their importance in terms of industry preferences and your professional knowledge and, capabilities.

Critical Self Reflection Task Guidelines:

1. Use the 5R Reflection Format (see previous section in this template) to guide your writing. This needs to be a synthesised piece of reflective writing.
2. Briefly describe each of the three experiences you engaged in and the employability skills you set out to develop:
• What was each course or workshop about?
• What were you required to do?
• How did this relate to your future career?

3. Consider all three (3) career learning experiences togetherand reflect on and evaluate your learning process.
You need to provide at least one example from the content of each of the career learning experiences to illustrate how your selected employability skills were developed.
How were the learning experiences and employability skills development relevant to:
• Your future career in the context of a changing world of work (name your area of studies and/or preferred industry and any changes you understand to be impacting your future - aspects covered in the weekly topic material); Others you will interact with at work (think about the skills you developed and relevance to interpersonal professional relationships) and,
• Your professional and personal development (consider where your skill level is at now and where it might need to be for future career success).
• Your general reaction to your career learning experiences and developing skills in this way. Any observations, challenges, or surprises you encountered (e.g., were there other skills you unintentionally developed along the way or noted you need to develop?).
• The relevance of your experiences and skill development to your future career and how your experiences have impacted your overall employability. Include any observations you might have about lifelong learning, the world of work, and your capacity for long-term career management.

Document Submission and Appendices
You are to include as your final submission:
1. This completed Assignment template and,
2. Appendices* - You can include your Appendices as part of this main document OR you can be upload them as separate documents. For both options, your documents need to be clearly marked as ‘Part A - Appendix A, or B, or C'.

Need a reflective creative thinking on three of the career related workshops using a 5-R reflective framework(5R they are: Reporting, responding, relating, reasoning and reconstructing)provide an authentic critical reflection on your learning experiences focusing on the development of your three selected employability skills. Ensure you provide examples from each learning experience to demonstrate where your learning occurred (or not) for each skill ensuring you clearly define your current level of skill knowledge and capability.
