Question: Reflect on the different ways of measuring CT, SR, and SI we've discussed and experienced so far in the course. Think about one you particularly like (or have a special interest in modifying) and imagine how it would be used in industry to weed out candidates as part of interviews. You can start by selecting a skill you want to measure or you can start by choosing a measure you want to use. Either way, review your job posting draft and make sure you've noted this skill as a desired or required qualification in your posting.
In a one-page, single-spaced cover letter, suggest to me (the CEO) why you as the hiring manager think we should start using this measure to pick the best candidates for our job opening (the one you proposed earlier this semester or a new one). You are not locked into this measure long-term, but most of you will end up sticking with the measurement you submit next Friday for the purposes of the entire perspective-taking project. In the final presentation, you will be presenting a more polished version of your job posting and defending a final version of this proposed measurement.
On your proposal, you should have:
Reminder of the job opening
Reminder of the skill you're trying to measure
Name of the measure and the PI behind it
Important elements of the measure (what are the questions/resources? how is the test conducted/graded? etc.)
Benefits to the measure (validity, cost, definition, reliability, etc.)
At least one issue with the measure (which the benefits outweigh presumably)
Any changes you propose to the measure (with brief reasons)
