Now that you created and implemented segments of the Comprehensive Guidance Plan, documented effectiveness, and planned to communicate with family and other stakeholders in the child's development and learning, please reflect on the child's progress as well as your plan to continue the guidance, intervention, and/or conflict management strategies which have been most effective.
Share your plan for future observations, documenting, and reporting. Educators are often asked to create a list of 5-10 strategies and/or accommodations to support a child's success in the classroom.
This list may be documented in an IFP (Individual Family Plan), IEP (Individualized Education Plan), or a 504 Plan (plan to support success in General Education as opposed to Special Education) depending on the child's needs. Your chosen subject may not require formalized interventions, but the list may be useful to families, support staff (who have direct contact with the child) or the child's next teacher.
Complete a Reflection Paper of at least 3 pages and including the following: Review the information you have gathered and written about your subject.
Think about your subject's special characteristics and the behavior issues you have identified and planned to support. Reflect on all the information you have gathered about your child's behavior and the effectiveness of your interventions to guide mistaken behaviors. Use professional language to communicate your understanding of DAP, new knowledge for specific levels of mistaken behaviors, and strategies to support success.
Prepare and include a list of 5-10 developmentally appropriate teaching strategies, instructionalmethods, and/or positive behavior guidance strategies to support the child's successful social and emotional development, as well as behavior in his/her early childhood educational setting.
At least one suggestion must support successful transition. Finally, review all the components in your Comprehensive Guidance Plan (including all adjustments suggested by your faculty member following weekly submissions), make adjustments, and submit all prior Project Assignments as one document along with your Reflection paper.
This is your Final Project Submission. see attached previous assignments
