Millgram's chapter on "Has It Come to This?" and read the associated chapters in Judges. Once you have done this, taking notes,

Reflect on Millgram's understanding of the features of the given portion of Judges
Demonstrate your own ability to analyze the characterization, plot, etc.
Reflect on a modern day application of the theological message of the text

Accordingly, your posts must include two parts. The first part is to summarize Millgram's understanding of the characterizations, plot, etc., and his conclusion regarding the overall theological message related in that particular story. Please bear in mind that this section is to summarize Millgram's understanding of the passage. Do not pick one or two points he makes and discuss them. Your discussion must encapsulate his perspective on characterizations and the overall point of the story.

The second part, and the more detailed part, is your own analysis of the text. Your own analysis must include the following:

Who are the main characters and how are they portrayed?
- based upon their actions
- based upon what they say
- based upon any evaluative comments and or innuendos by the narrator
What questions and/or incongruities surface in story?
- Are these issues related to issues previously appearing in the book?
- Are these issues related to the primary theme of the book (viz. "Canaanization")?
What are the theological and/or moral issue(s) raised in the story?
