Data Review Formative Assessment

The student reviews current data presented on their state's education department website, writing a memorandum addressed to a school or district administrator (real or fictitious) as a description of what the data tells us and an interpretation as to what the data mean. Within this memorandum the student reviews, compares and contrasts, if applicable, the school's data against the state data. The student concludes the memorandum with a set of recommendations as to what actions the administration might take in response to these data. Additionally, students should reflect on how the data are relevant to the leadership role that they are seeking. Students should be prepared to discuss this work with others when due.
