INTRODUCTION

In this unit, we further explore the relationship between social policy and social program analysis and direct practice. As direct service practitioners, social workers are not only guided by human behavior theories, but also by policy guidelines that dictate the types and amounts of services they deliver.

I work in the field with adult population of substance abuse and mental health individual within an outpatient facility with both female and male clients. We provide individual counseling along with group setting on a weekly basis.

Some of the things that caught my attention within this course is Advocating for Client Benefits, Grant Funding and Diverse Policy Viewpoints: Right or Wrong?
