For the second round we were mostly concerned with low production plan adherence and a high level of obsolete products. The obsoletes was likely caused by a long promised shelf life in combination with a high safety stock of products. The low production plan adherence on the other hand was mostly related to component availability. In order to reduce the obsoletes we decided to shorten the promised shelf life of our products tuitil we would be able to ensure better delivery. We also decided to change production intervals for the products with the highest levels of obsoletes in order to achieve a more ?exible production; thus for Orange 11 and PET, and for Ora11geMm1go 11 we reduced the interval to 7 days. To further increase the responsiveness of our production we decided to invest in speeding up the bottling line and reduce the frozen period for our production to 2 weeks.
