Problem- Red LEDs emit visible light with a wavelength of 673nm. The choice of material for a red LED is a solid solution with the composition (GaPxAs1-x) band gap of 2.26eV and GaAs has a band gap of 1.43eV as well as we assume that the band gap varies linearly with composition between x=0 and x=1, estimate the composition (the value of x) that is used in these LEDs.
