Scenario: The recruitment initiatives with the trauma hospital have been difficult due to the 20% increase in turnover over the past six months and the increasing competition from other medical facilities in the area that are offering higher wages and sign-on bonuses. These factors have combined to make the situation difficult. This has resulted in a longer period being necessary to hire replacements, as well as salaries that are lower than those offered at a significant number of other medical facilities. The trauma hospital has had some success recruiting staff from other facilities but has had much more success recruiting new nurses and technicians from the two local colleges in the area.
